Australia's enigmatic modern metal monsters Diamond Construct kick off their year with brooding new single, "Discarded", out now via Pale Chord & Greyscale Records.

Leaning into a darker, more mood-driven soundscape, "Discarded" captures the weight of self-doubt and the ache for genuine connection. "The song explores personal battles with feeling like you’re never good enough for someone time after time," vocalist Kynan Groundwater explains. "It’s about longing for real love, and the sense of loss when it all goes south. This song resonates deeply with me, and I know it’ll be cathartic to perform live, similar to how "Faded" feels therapeutic on stage. I think "Discarded" will connect with people who’ve experienced that same loneliness and struggle with self-worth."

The single is the first taste of new material from the band since their explosive 2024 sophomore album Angel Killer Zero and it's respective deluxe edition which dropped in March 2025.
