SIIICKBRAIN has officially released her sophomore album HOUNDSTOOTH, out now via NOWHERE Recordings in partnership with Pale Chord/Rise Records BMG. The project arrives following the release of album singles “PALO SANTO,”“MURKY WATER,” and “FILTHY” featuring Fetish. Alongside the album, she has also released the music video for the new single “CONTROL.”

“CONTROL” further expands the unapologetic world SIIICKBRAIN has built throughout HOUNDSTOOTH. Driven by a thumping four-on-the-floor kick drum, metallic industrial percussion, and an accelerating acid synth bassline, the track channels a sense of urgency and forward momentum. Against the high-energy production, SIIICKBRAIN confronts the dehumanization and loss of control she sees in the world around her, transforming frustration into an act of resilience. The result is one of the album’s most commanding moments, balancing catharsis and empowerment while reinforcing the themes of duality, strength, and control woven throughout HOUNDSTOOTH.
“‘CONTROL’ is a song I wrote about how I’ve been feeling with the current state of the world and how many people are losing control over different parts of their lives to a point where it’s creating this sense of dehumanization. The production is meant to feel powerful and driving, almost like a push forward, taking back control of your state of mind in spite of everything happening around you,” says SIIICKBRAIN.
The accompanying video mirrors the track’s tension and intensity, opening in black and white as SIIICKBRAIN stands alone against the wall of a dimly lit room before being cornered by masked men who begin cutting pieces of her hoodie away with scissors. Intercut with the unsettling scenes are shots of SIIICKBRAIN prowling and crawling through the frame in lingerie as she delivers the track with a commanding presence. Shifting between vulnerability and defiance, the visual reinforces the song’s exploration of reclaiming power in the face of dehumanization while further expanding the world at the center of HOUNDSTOOTH.

In addition to the release of HOUNDSTOOTH, SIIICKBRAIN is set to join Royal & the Serpent as direct support on select U.S. dates of the Emptiness Is Godly Tour. Beginning June 8th in Salt Lake City, the run will bring SIIICKBRAIN’s boundary-pushing world to audiences across the country, with stops in New York, Chicago, and more.
