Genre-bending post-hardcore mainstays Thousand Below have returned with the infectious new single “SHAKE” via Pale Chord/Rise BMG. The band has also shared a cyber-punk-inspired music video for the track, directed by frequent collaborator Alex Bemis and VFX by Orie McGinness.

On “SHAKE,” Thousand Below have ventured further into the anthemic, hook-laden and electronic-tinged post-hardcore of their 2022 full length album Hell Finds You Everywhere —  this time employing a more glitched-out, cyber-pop approach that feels immediate, pulsating and instantly memorable.

With evocative vocal performances, earworm choruses and an arrangement that showcases the band’s expertise in juxtaposing pop sensibility with aggressive dynamics, “SHAKE” is a pivotal entry in the band’s discography as it ushers in a new and exciting era of their career.

“SHAKE” is Thousand Below’s first step into our 4th recording cycle as a band and we could not be more excited to get back to releasing music regularly, ” vocalist James Deberg shares. “We’ve teamed up with an amazing new producer [Austin Coupe] and have continued our tenure with Pale Chord, so the future looks bright, ” Deberg reflects before adding, “As soon as we wrapped up SHAKE in the studio, we knew we were back in proper rhythm.”
