HARPER, the incredible 11-year-old vocalist who took the internet by storm with her mind-blowing cover of Spiritbox’s “Holy Roller” and captured the hearts of millions as a contestant on last year’s America’s Got Talent, is back with an electrifying new single titled “Weight of The World.” The track is a bonafide metalcore banger, written by Leo Valeri, guitarist and producer of deathcore heavyweights Brand of Sacrifice and features the phenomenal vocal talents of Dave Stephens from We Came As Romans. This powerhouse team has come together to create a song that is both a rallying cry for heavy music lovers and an empowering anthem for young people everywhere.
When asked about the inspiration behind the track, HARPER shared “Weight Of The World was written about the last few years of my life. I’m still so new to music, and I definitely felt there was a lot of pressure on my shoulders holding the flag for heavy music on such a commercial stage last year. It’s also a very empowering song, and I really hope through my music a lot of kids my age can discover heavy music and also be inspired to make their own. It was so good to work with Leo and Dave on this song. I’m a big fan of both of their bands, so to have them be a part of this was really cool!”
With “Weight Of The World“, Harper is boldly breaking barriers and proving that age is just a number when it comes to channeling emotion and power through heavy music. The track is a perfect showcase of HARPER‘s immense talent and unwavering dedication to her craft. This is just the beginning of an incredible musical journey for this young superstar.
